These are the rules for using Pixel Peek. Please skim them — there's nothing unusual. If you use the site, you're agreeing to these terms.

01Acceptance

By playing Pixel Peek, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

02Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Pixel Peek. By playing, you confirm you meet this age requirement.

03Your username

If you claim a username, a few things apply:

Usernames are first-come, first-served.
We block names that are offensive, impersonate real people or site staff, or breach our conduct rules (see §4).
Your username is tied to the browser you claim it on. We don't support email recovery, cross-device sync, or account transfers. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, your name is lost. This is an unusual setup; we chose it deliberately to keep the site simple and your data minimal.
We may reclaim or modify usernames that violate these rules or that go unused for a long period.

04Conduct

When using Pixel Peek, you agree not to:

Cheat, exploit bugs, inspect network traffic for answers, or use automation of any kind.
Scrape, copy, or redistribute site content or game data.
Attempt to disrupt the site, server, or other players.
Submit usernames or content that is offensive, harassing, discriminatory, or illegal.
Impersonate another player, site staff, or any real person.
Use the site for commercial purposes without our permission.

We may disqualify scores, reclaim usernames, or block access at our discretion if these rules are broken.

05Intellectual property

Our content — the site design, code, and branding — belongs to us. Please don't copy it.
Game screenshots and titles shown in rounds belong to their respective publishers. We access them via the IGDB API under IGDB's terms. We make no claim to these assets.
Your username — you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to display it on leaderboards and within the site.

06Availability

Pixel Peek is provided "as is" and "as available." We try hard to keep it running but make no guarantees about uptime, data preservation, or any specific feature remaining available. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time.

07Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be legally excluded under UK law.

08Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the site at any time if you violate these terms. You may stop using the site whenever you like.

09Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.

10Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page will always show the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
